UFOs TODAY -70 Years of Lies, Disinformation, and Government Cover-Up, presents UFO studies that colleagues and I have undertaken during about thirty years as field investigators. The material is generally presented in chronological order, beginning with information that the government had been investigating the phenomena prior to the Kenneth Arnold event. What makes it truly unique and valuable is that several of my co-investigators and I have not only probed the organizations where the research on UFOs has been conducted, we have also worked in many of the most crucial institutions involved in the UFO field. Thus, unlike the few others that have done this kind of research, we have had an inside tract to understanding the organizations, the researchers, and the results of the studies. Examination of government knowledge of the UFO phenomena is vital because it provides important evidence about whether the subject is taken seriously by government authorities, and can potentially provide technical information about the phenomena. The manuscript also includes never-before-published first-hand interviews and correspondence with many of the most important and the initial investigators of the phenomena. This is significant because many of these people have died and those who are living are quite old. Thus, this research provides a historical record of the reasoning and opinions of those making an initial impact in this field. It also covers the complexity of the phenomena, which has contributed to the difficulty and controversy in conducting this field of research. The manuscript also features the testimony of a former US Deputy Sheriff who was a witness to the UFO crash at Roswell. This gentleman’s unique testimony will be published here for the first time. UFOs TODAY is like no other book on the UFO subject as it comes from an academic who worked behind the scenes at a number of locations and witnessed the official cover-up for herself.

No real analysis, speculation or conclusion, though obviously the writer believes in UFOs and government cover ups of same. If your looking for a thoughtful analysis of UFO phenomena, forget this book. Just another disappointing B rated book about a serious subject."

• Dr Irena Scott has written a delightful UFO book, with an eye to science, and a heart of wonder. Her writing reminds me a bit of that of the 'Crash-Retrieval' Ufologist, the late great Leonard Stringfield. Interestingly, Irena met Stringfield, and admits to have been inspired by him.
  I read a lot of UFO books. I admit I tend to have a great love for some of the pre-sensationalist works of Ufology. In a world of Secure Team phonies and Jump Room drivel, 'UFOs Today' shines like a beacon.
  It has a refreshing quality in that it respects evidence, and shuns the ridiculous. It has the ring of truth.
  There's a sense of wonder running through Irena's work. I think Leonard Stringfield would be proud.

• Dr. Scott's book is perhaps the best researched offering on the seventy years of the UFO phenomenon that I've seen in many years. To those who desire a concise overview of this enigma of the skies, hers is definitely a must read. To this historian, her superior scholarship is wrapped in a most readable and concise timeline to give the reader an understanding of how important this mystery is, and why government and society want to keep the public from knowing the truth about what is going on. • This book was a joy to read! I have been studying the UFO phenomena for forty years, but I learned much from this book. The first part of this book about Kenneth Arnold was a real eye-opener. Interesting how his sighting connected to other very early sightings around 1947. I highly recommend this book. I am also a MUFON field investigator and an S.T.A.R Team Investigator. The book flows well and gets to the point.
• Having had a very detailed Close Encounter the first kind myself many years ago, I am so glad to see responsible investigation into this subject. They (other-world beings) ARE here, folks!

• Absolutely brilliant! This book has it all folks. ALL. You'll notice I'm NOT a verified purchase, as Dr. Scott sent me a personally inscribed copy. Dr. Scott has managed to cover just about EVERYTHING, from the 1930's - to now. A vast majority of the major UFO cases over the years is comprehensibly covered, decade by decade. You're going to read about many previously unknown UFO cases that she investigated or co-investigated over the years. But let that NOT stop you, reader, from ho-humming "not another bunch of lame stories", no indeed - nothing of the sort. You see, Dr. Scott has worked for the DIA, The Battelle Memorial Institute, and was stationed at Wright-Patterson AFB as well (and wait until you read about where her husband worked!). She is the real deal. So you'll read about the "Charles Forgus" interview as it pertained to ROSWELL, Cordell Hull's involvement, an interesting "possible" connection between the "Spaur/Neff Portage County UFO chase and the Sharon, MA UFO chase. Herb Schirmer makes an appearance as does "The Keyhole Sat-Pro" - just some of the tasty morsels that await you. Hey! You're also going to find out about Bobby Unser (yeah, that one) Al Unser's brother's report on UFO's and MUTES on his "back-forty"!! In all - a well constructed and well written book, one that ranks on the TOP SHELF folks, of UFO books. Miss this one at your loss - as Dr. Scott even provides "SMOKING GUN" evidence! One "John Center's information that he worked with UFO material at Battelle and Joe Wilson's on air comments that he had just called WPAFB and material was on its way from Roswell." ... You're going to have to read all about it in this IMPORTANT - Masterwork laid out before your very eyes! It's comprehensive, the narration is progressive and lends itself to being easily read. AND, it is referenced. Do yourself a HUGE favor and pick up a copy of this must-have UFO book - they don't write them like this anymore ... but she did! My highest recommendation!
