I am a big proponent of anything that motivates on a healthy level and I have found my own things that work for me. I have a teenager at home who sometimes needs encouragement and a little push in the right direction. I have found that teenagers (and adults) often have short attention spans and small doses of inspiration are all that are needed. "Can Do" appealed to me for this purpose and I was thrilled to see my teen actually making use of the book when I purchased it for him. I have read it as well and this is a great collection of motivational quotes designed to give your teen or young adult a boost. Highly recommended.
I honestly expected more. But for the cost, I guess it isn't bad. I will be using some of the quotes for a bulletin board at school.
Gave this to me son and he devoured it. I catch him looking at it every few weeks.
My students are all special needs and those that enjoy reading really like these books. They cover a wide variety of topics and are presented in a wide variety of formats (poems, short stories, etc.) which keeps them interested.
