- The content is really nice and deserves a 5 star rating. You get the whole story of how the pottery was started, is now known and keeps going. It is like watching a documentary on the life story of the founder, but also those of all the artists, and some collectors. A very nice, biography of whoever is involved. The pictures of the works are of the best quality and they really give you a very good idea of what Ardmore stands for.
However, the book, by coming from South Africa (I think) to Europe, suffered in the travel. The hardcover is substantially damaged (3 corners+ side of the book )and resale value severely dropped. But I have no intention of reselling.
I love the book and the story it tells it reads like a novel with amazing pictures of a lot of artwork. Book can be used as a reference of whatever Ardmore produced. - As an Ardmore collector, this book brings me joy each time I read it. Even if I weren't a collector, I would still appreciate the beauty of the book and the story behind Ardmore.
